Tolka River Birds
The River Tolka rises in County Meath and enters the sea near Bull Island in Dublin. There are several access points to the river. Check out Our Lady’s Park beside Drumcondra Road. Then keep walking up Botanic avenue until you come to Griffith Park. Access to Griffith Park is at several points along Botanic Avenue. The river flows through the park. When you exit the park you can walk as far as Mobhi Road. Cross the road and turn right which takes you across a bridge on the river. Then walk along the river bank until you come to the next main road, Mobhi Road. If you wish, you can then take a short walk to your left and go to the the National Botanic Gardens. Turn to your right when you enter the Gardens and you will reach the river again. and then walk along the right hand side of the river.
